i feel like its a lose/lose situation. I don't think there is one answer. I think it depends on so much. Like the time of the year the first athlete was out... middle of summer or in the middle of the season? Also it depends on how long the injured athlete is out for, and how many skills they have when they return. That's why I think crossovers are the best option. If a level 3 athlete is hurt, a level 3 athlete or above should fill in... that way when the original athlete returns it won't feel like they lost their spot because they have their equal or higher "priority" team still.

This one's for the coaches, so when someone gets injured of your team (Lets face it, cheer is dangerous) and you pull an alternate up, what do you do when the girl who was injured comes back?
Do you kick the alternate off, or just add another person. Who ever of them work the hardest, gets te spot. If the alternate works her booty off and make alot of progress, she deserves to stay. I also don't belive in changing the routine more times then nessecary.

Now lets make it more difficult, lets say you're maxed out for people in your division, who do you kick off? The girls that have the best attendance, the most will, the best attitude towards the team and me gets to compete.
Now, just a little more difficult, lets say that the alternate really worked hard and got better skills than the original (Like if the original only had a full, but the alternate came on with a legit whip sequence from level four, but got her full and tacked it on to the end of the bounding pass) Do you let the original stay? Or do you give it to the one with the best skills?
Would it be fair to be kicked off of a team before worlds when you helped earn the Bid? I would keep the alternate. As i said, i don't like to change routines more then nessecary. Ofc if the original girl really worked harder then the girl who replaced her she would get her spot back. If i wasn't pleased with an athlete before worlds, i would switch her to someone else, even tho she helped winning the bid. You have to earn your spot, but you can't just chill once you got it.

What about Cheer Parents? Has this ever happened to your CP?

I know it sounds really hypothetical, but I feel like this happens fairly frequently all over the nation. How do you handle it?

If you had an injured girl and you went to a big competition with the alternate and you happened to win a jacket... does the alternate keep the jacket?
I was an alternate on Stingrays, Green but i was also on Spice. Thankfully i had an AMAZINGGGGG team mom on Green. And she made sure that i was included in EVERYTHING so i got a jacket for both Spice & Green. (:
