Once everything is settled in GEORGIA and if the UA owner is found guilty or pleas, which is an admission of guilt, he will lose his USASF accreditation and will no longer be able to be involved with All~Star cheer. It is just a matter of time. It is sad, totally avoidable and senseless for UA to keep up this facade!
It is terrible for the kids and families, many of which have already paid some money for this season and will not receive the expected services in return. Just like Georgia. That being said @Squirrelygirly9 has every right to not burn her sources if they didn't give her permission to post the correspondence she has seen. I started this post after talking to actual athletes that were turned away and told the gym was closed for good. I for one will not give the names of the CPs this came from but they were very upset.
Also please note other than a Facebook post or 2, where are the parents and the CPs coming out to say thry attended practice/open gym this week? Where are the people who came on here and claimed the gym had been bought by a private equity and was no longer owner by Craig?
I just heard that UA is closed for good, there never was a new owner and the remaining coaches and athletes were told this week. Sounds like a lot of coaches are headed to Ice.
Another rumor I heard is Ice bought them, but not sure if this is true.
The gymnastics company that was renting space had to leave and relocate with no notice. This is confirmable on Facebook so I invite you to do that.
I am sure there is more I haven't yet been told...
Chicagoland Cheer, never a dull moment.
Sorry I only eat childern nuggets. Can somebody pass the chicken? I'm starving.
I don't think people are being quiet just because. I think since there is no official notice saying the gym has or will be closing people just cannot say for sure. It's always hard to comment without any official notice. I can tell you that we had an open tryout and over 30 athletes showed up. Our teams were already set for the season so opening up a tryout has to mean athletes are being displaced and scrambling to find teams. I do have a friend whose daughter just until last week was at UA. She has now left as well. I have another whose daughter is trying out at another gym. To my knowledge one gym now has 4 UA coaches and another 2. That's not Rumor because they post about the new gyms they coach at and are amazing people both inside and out. As a parent there's nothing good to post about this situation. I'd be heart broken if I was going through what many families are going through. I've met so many great families out of UA who all want the same things. They love their children and just want them to be happy and secure with the gym they Cheer at. Love to UA who made a huge mark on Allstar Cheerkeading in Northern Illinois. My hope for them is that they can find a way to get through this hard time and re group.I have no information, but if the gym in question wasn't closing or having serious issues, I would think after 4 pages someone would have posted concrete information stating that all was well. There are people who are or were affiliated with the gym on this board. Silence speaks volumes in this case.

And on the flip side, the ruckus others are making does too.I have no information, but if the gym in question wasn't closing or having serious issues, I would think after 4 pages someone would have posted concrete information stating that all was well. Should be pointed out that this is Chicagoland Cheer, the rest of the state doesn't have this kind of drama. It is likely because it is the 3rd largest metro area in the country but Cheer is relatively underdeveloped in the market.
Meanwhile, I'm over here looking to buy used mats. Anyone from UA want to sell any? :)
Im from STL not Chicago so I'm not 100%, but didn't Team Illinois Cheer have drama recently when the coach randomly left to coach at CEA chicago?

Only one around here that I know of for this upcoming season was a coach from Gymtyme Illinois who went to CEA Chicago and her special needs team followed her there -- The Hearts. But as far as drama around that I have no idea.Im from STL not Chicago so I'm not 100%, but didn't Team Illinois Cheer have drama recently when the coach randomly left to coach at CEA chicago?
No, u r thinking a coach from ICE Aurora 2 seasons ago. She has since left the world of cheerDidn't she take both of her teams with her?
