Just can't go with the over the top makeup. A little heavier in the eye shadow and mascara and a little darker on the lipstick, period. If you can't walk down the street without someone doing a double take, it's too much. Some teams look like rejects from the circus- yes, I realize that was harsh, but can you really say it isn't true?

my team's make-up, last year, without the lips done. yes its glitter, but it doesn't seem over-the-top to me :D
i think it depends on the team colors and all that stuff. our uniforms had old school sequins so glitter worked with it. this year we're getting new uniforms and using different make-up (STICKERS!!!) and im very excited about both things

Not a fan of tons of glitter especially when it is glitter all over the eyelid. Maybe a little glitter liner on the top lid but I prefer a neutral smokey eye or even a darker one that isn't too overpowering. I think it was Georgia that does a dark purple smokey eye that looks very classy but still has their colors in it.

you look sooo happy to be wearing this make up!

My team's colors are green, black and white. So last competition we attended, we had to put on GREEN GLITTEREYESHADOW. It looked AWFUL. Sure it looked good on some girls, but uh-uh. Never again. I def prefer the more natural look, with a little shimmer. :-)

I ALWAYS like WCSS and Top Gun's makeup, they really know how to make it look good, instead of looking trashy.

this is a girl on my cheer team but this is our make up from lasst year, it kinda looks funny since shes laughing at me haha :)

OK. I gotta say it. WHAT on earth is a "natural smoky eye in the teams colors"? I know what a smoky eye is. I know what "team's colors" means. And I know what natural is. What I don't understand is those things together in a sentence. Natural means little to no make-up at all. No way no how is a properly done smoky eye EVER the same thing as "little to no make-up". :D

OK...just had to get that off my chest.:p

Every time this glitter vs. make-up topic comes up, I think/say this, but here goes...

How is glitter trashy, but make-up on little girls is not? I am so confused by this. And when you're talking teenagers it's even worse to me. When we leave competition and my 16 y.o. has glitter stickers (FAME) on, people say "Aw...did you just come from a recital? You look so pretty..." When we leave a competition and she has smoky eye and red lips people stare at her like she is a bug. And whisper. I'm thinking what they're whispering is something along the lines of "Wth is wrong with her mother, letting her run around with all that make-up on???"

I mean to each his own, and we'll probably have to agree to disagree on this one, but I never understand when this comes up how everyone says smoky eye and red lips is less trashy than glitter. Glitter is performance...make-up is pageant - or worse. Guess it depends on what you're going for with cheer...

I love glitter. I don't like it when it's on the lips or a cat eye, but with me, it's sparkly and shows on the floor better. I hate hate hate hate red lips. Ugh, my lips stay red for a week after wearing it.
