Where did you see the 16k? I may be looking at the wrong thing, but it's still showing $14,600 for me on EbaySE bag bids are now at over $16k
SSX is also approaching $1000.
How are the athletes learning valuable lessons about charity with this, exactly?
They signed a bag.
By all means, auction it off, raise millions for these charities!! But if anyone thinks it taught Spoiled Suzy anything (except that she's soooo amazing that people spent thousands for her autograph) I'm calling bullpoo.
And let me know when owners take teams to visit a nonprofit, inner city cheer gym to conduct a free week-long cheer camp with no media coverage. I'll be the first one to write a check.

Ebay has automatic bidding so the bidder would not have to be online during the bidding process until it hits the maximum amount they've pre-approved. At that time, Ebay would contact the bidder that they have been outbid. It's not CSP. I was in a meeting with her yesterday during the time that it went up to 14K. I saw her reaction when she realized it had gone up that high and she was just as shocked as everyone else. Not to mention that we'd been in a meeting and she hadn't touched her phone.

i followed the tweets of one team that won at CL. not one tweet about their charity, before or after the event. just complaints/confusion about their placement. lots of talk about becoming "movie stars" though!
not gonna name any names, but they have a youtube show.
To be fair, have any athletes from any team mentioned anything about their charity before, during, or after the event?i followed the tweets of one team that won at CL. not one tweet about their charity, before or after the event. just complaints/confusion about their placement. lots of talk about becoming "movie stars" though!

Really??? the cheerleading community has raised thousands of dollars for those that were sick, those that were hurt, and even those that needed help sending their children to Worlds - athletes, parents, coaches and gym owners give often as you well know. These "Spoiled Suzies" may not have ended world hunger - and I haven't seen one athlete try to say they have (and btw you have no idea what any of them do individually or as teams for charity outside of the CL), but they did more than sign a bag. They could have received warm-ups, backpacks, and other items as prizes and instead voted to forgo the prizes so that $20,000 went to charities on Sunday night. I don't think any of them are bragging about it or thinking they are in line for the Nobel Peace Prize, but they shouldn't be knocked as selfish brats just because you don't agree with what Nfinity chose to do this backpack fundrasier.
