I don't think that black ops would be competitive this season since devin (last pass) is now in top gun and their capt got kicked out of the team over the weekend.

i have a feeling its selection process is based on inviting 26 programs, not 26 individual teams. because those stupid question marks never change, when they announce teams from the same gym.

i cant imagine any of the teams invited so far would use this in place of worlds, at least not in the first year of its existence.

One or two individuals does not make or break a team. It's not like other world champion teams haven't lost some of their star athletes for this upcoming season.

I know this is a stretch from what this actually is but what if this is just a revamped version of worlds. .....

I was just coming to post the same thing...that the big shocker would be that these teams are not going to attend worlds.

Would that ever be a way to shake up the industry!

I know this is a stretch from what this actually is but what if this is just a revamped version of worlds. And what if all the teams that are going to the CL aren't even going to worlds, that's why they're not worried that its 3 weeks before worlds.... So many people complain about worlds and varsity and Blah blah blah that maybe someone's finally taken the initiative to invent something better? I know it's a far stretch but its not a completely ridiculous idea....

I have been thinking this same thing from the beginning of CL announcements. Not in its first year but what if this becomes not an alternative to Worlds but a more desirable representation of the best in the World. Worlds as it stands now has so many flaws venue, score sheet, and to many at large bids to name a few. I am wondering if this new competition will create the pressure for change that everyone is asking for.
