You guessed it. We are opening CA location #7 in the Denver area in a few months.
Congrats on the expansion!
Is it an acquisition of an existing program or will this be a brand new gym? Either way congrats! Very exciting.
Then I agree also if it was bullying and not just a haircut!
It is not really either of those. This is an existing program converting to a CA gym, but it will still be locally owned. (like CA Pittsburgh, Charlotte, & Austin) We have a long-term agreement with them to provide extensive and ongoing training, support, etc. and hopefully, additional staff to make the athlete experience fall in line with the "CA way".
This is how we anticipate the vast majority of, if not all, future CA gyms being set up. At first, we wanted to own 100% of all of them, but we have changed our mind completely. We feel it works much better for everyone involved than trying to run the day-to-day operations of a gym remotely.
Very exciting, congrats! I saw on your website that you're referring to it as the Snow CAstle. Does this mean the theme will be snow-related? No hope for a mountain theme, huh? (I really like AndesKatz and SierraKatz and EverestKatz and Black DiamondKatz as names... I'll just wait until you open another one in the mountains )
PS - haven't been to CA's website in a while but it was redone the last time I saw. Looks really really good! Finally a great gym site that's also mobile friendly!
Our theme is snow/ice related, although I don't think we have nailed down the exact team names. Mountains is a pretty good one actually.
Thank you for the website comments. I actually did most of that (with help from Squarespace). Old-school-me thinks websites should just be viewed on computers, but 2/3 of our traffic is mobile, so it is optimized for that as best we can. Finding design/pictures that work on both is a much bigger challenge than I expected.
Team name suggestions:
Minis - Itty Bitty Blizzards/Blizzies
Coed W0rlds Team - YetiCats
We have used Snow Leopards and Arctic Cats previously (and Icecats currently) in Plano. Not sure what will transfer over.
So cute. Gotta have a SnowCats too.
CAracals! (It’s a wild cat that lives in snow)

Do athletes that are just alternates pay tuition and fees? How do finances work for the alternates?
Generally, yes. Alternates pay the same as any other athlete.
Separate names with a comma.
