I just wanted to congratulate my friends at NEO. They worked SOO hard last year to make it to worlds and it is so exciting to see that they got their bid so early this year.

Spirit Explosion in New Jersey. Our coach, Theapia, won gym owner of the year at Worlds last year. She's amazing. She has a way of being tough to make us great, yet loving and caring. We're not huge - we have 5 teams in NJ and 5 or 6 teams at our sister gym in PA, but we are fierce. We're also nice and love to cheer on our friendly competition. Theapia is friends with many coaches around the country. With Theapia and some other outstanding coaches at the wheel, the world will learn that allstar cheer is a SPORT and the rules will become increasingly uniform (those are my words - not Theapia's)

There was a lot of good competition this weekend. To the Fire and Ice J2 coaches, thank you for your kind words after awards. It was a hectic (and at times, stressful) weekend. I'm glad my friends at AS1 and NJSE left with some $$ in their pocket :). Thanks to cooler heads prevailing, my youthies got their "injury" deduction back, and finished 2nd (tied for 1st, but lost the tie break). Thrilled the first competition is over with!

Oh I totally know who you guys are and Theapia....I just had no idea that was your team name and people are just calling you guys fab5 without the njse in front of it =) , goodluck this season!
