I beg to differ.. talk to any body at AACCA, UCA, NCA.. they'll tell you, "Cheerleaders need to stop putting their videos of crashes on youtube," "Don't tell the press about injuries at practice." UCA teaches a safety seminar at camp and specifically tells the kids and coaches that they need to keep videos like these out of public view because it brings TERRIBLE bad press.. People being unsafe is a personal problem.. when it gets "documented," is when is becomes an industry problem.. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to learn from the girl who almost broke her neck on a double full basket
I'm with Sharkdad on this. Simply not talking about it isn't going to make the problems leading to crashes and injuries go away.
Just this?
I understand your reasoning and I have talked to people from those agencies. They all work for the same company and don't want bad publicity for their business. I would like to see safety improved from the terrible state it is allowed to continue at in some areas by those same agencies.
The fact is that videos don't create safety problems, bad coaches and lack of regulation does.
