Hi y'all! I am not new here, but never really introduced myself. I'd like to become more active on the board, so I just thought it would be nice to come out and say hi!
My name is Christi and my CP is 9 year old Catie. We began Catie's cheer career at the ripe old age of 4, when a ballet teacher crushed my dreams of tiny tutus and told me to find a gym ASAP. What started out as mommy and me fun soon turned into glitter and pandemonium at a small gym in Florida. Cheerleading is in this kids DNA!
We recently moved to North Carolina, and now Catie is cheering her heart out at Cheer Extreme Sanford, where we are all quite happy! She is on Envy, youth level 3, and crosses over to help out youth 2. Her dream in life is to become a Butterfly on youth elite. With her brand new full and stubborn dedication, I have no doubt she will reach that goal.
As for myself, I am a stay at home, homeschooling (to two), mom to 4 and army wife. I spend about as much time driving to cheer, band events and wrestling tournaments as I do breathing (I'm sure nobody can relate to that!). I feel my job as a parent is to advocate for my kids and help them attain their goals as long as they are willing to put in the work. That has sometimes landed me in the "Suzy's mom" position.... but I can take it. I just want all hard working kids to get what they deserve.
So.... nice to meet you all! :)
