we were just talking the other day how cool a tictoc bownarrow would be.
like stand in a bow n arrow and quickly switch to a bow n arrow on the other leg.
i dont know if its possible even, but it would look soooo great!

I was thinking about that the other day! The flyer would have to be really flexible and strong though

The center flyer on SSX did it!

One of our open flyers is a former rhythmic gymnast and competed at an international level. She has some beautiful lines, unfortunately the other flyers have decided rhythmic gymnasts are part jellyfish and are born without a spine so its generally only her who can execute some of her weirder positions

we don't train like rhythmic gymnasts though :/ it's very difficult to achieve that type of flexibility with strength

Actually rhythmic gymnasts are very strong and it is possible. Many artistic gymnasts have that type of flexibility as well.

If you read my post, I did not state that rhythmic gymnasts were not strong, I stated it was difficult to achieve that type of flexibility in combination with strength, which is a fact with muscle physiology. Cheerleaders are not trained like rhythmic gymnasts nor artistic gymnasts.

I have been told by a sport science person that it is possible fro anyone to achieve the flexibility of a rhythmic gymnast if they work at it until the age of 25! So nobody has the excuse of just not being flexible, in my world it just means they aren't trying hard enough :D

Yeah! That was sweet!

OK, so sleepy head just posted this for me (and switched up the sequence, evidently) - the look on her face is kinda priceless. It just says "Seriously, Mom? OK, fine..."

I just dry heaved...eww lol

At practice mt coach told all our fliers: "We're gonna try switch up heel stretch power press to scorp, and don't let go of your leg, you're going to have to rotate your hip" I know who I thought off...

I've always thought that wrap around stretch was called a "pretzel"...

I've always thought chin straps look really cool and wondered why more teams don't do them.
