I agree. It could make the kids feel they aren't as good as the regular level 5 teams. To me, lvl 5 is lvl 5 regardless of how you split it up and should be treated the same. An lvl 6 is the ULTIMATE level they all aspire to, what is up with that?

I remember a few years ago when they did the same thing. Top Gun lg coed was performing in one of the halls and the place was over crowded. Security was trying to get kids to move because the were sitting on the floor in the aisles. They didn't budge and it was a mess.

Well, unfortunately not everyone can perform in the arena. With more teams than ever, it's just practical logistics. Even if a few divisions were chosen out of that, everyone would complain because it wasnt their team that got chosen. Just sayin'......Seeing that putting all of the restricted lv 5 and open 6 teams on to the arena schedule would have added another 3-4 hours I find it to be understandable.....unless everyone would rather have the judges and staff just not sleep and then judge them the next day lol. For the last team to perform, add another 2-3 hours before staff gets to go back to the hotel, and then add another 2-3 hours prior to 8am for when they have to be at the convention center already. I'd say on average, 1am to 5am is the amount of sleep they get, and still are cheerful for y'all all day long! ;)

Honestly. Theres nothing you can do about it, so might as well be positive. If you or your team feels lesser because you're not in the arena, it's out of any of our hands.

Positives for not being in the arena:
-I have more new kids and nervous competitors, being on a more traditional stage will ease their nerves
-Spring floor on a podium is bouncier (much bouncier than the arena floor)
-They probably would have put the restricted teams early in the morning instead of the Junior5 teams. I am A-OK with not having my senior aged kids competing between the hours of 8-10am.

I've def accepted the fact there's nothing anyone can do about it, but I believe it's okay to be bummed about it.
& im glad it may be better for "some" teams, but the thing is when people made level 6 or 5 teams and were told they were going to NCA...I know they were just as excited as I was to perform in the arena. So It's just a let down, but it is what it is. Life goes on & I wish your teams the best of luck !
