Fair enough. And have I no question about your motives, sincerity or commitment. We just disagree on this but if voluntary than there is not a problem
However, I do have a question for BlueCat ...
While your gym has signed that "No Cheerleberities" pledge, why are CA athletes host the Varsity "Cheerleberity" event?
Refer to Cheerupdates and CSP on twitter if you dont know what I am talking about.

I would imagine prior commitments and contracts have to be finished if they were signed before the pledge.

Please also consider, that two of the people on that list for this weekend's appearance are also currently involved in a debacle with another person/gym on that list. Call it a perfect storm of unfortunate placement..People are now using Jamie & Blake's appearance to slam the program. That is a great example of the fact that even when athletes are there as individuals, it still reflects on and affects the other athletes on their team. Thank you for proving the point that, unfortunately, programs need to be selective about what individual athletes are allowed to do while representing a team.
Truthfully, I don't recall if we were asked about this first or not. Either way, we would not expect our athletes to abandon their commitment to an event on a few days' notice. Up to now, we haven't made a point to our athletes to run this stuff by us first. This is the type of thing that, going forward, we would want to review prior to the athletes accepting this type of invitation. My guess is that you won't see to many of our athletes doing this type of thing in the future. However, each situation would be handled on a case by case basis.
NOTE: Saying that we want to improve our stance going forward on the cheerlebrity issue is NOT the same thing as saying we think we have been perfect with our decisions in the past.
Why do I feel like every issue that comes up becomes a NACCC vs ASGA (CSP) disagreement and we are all just stuck in the middle.
It seems like everyone is generalizing the issue and blaming everyone else for where we are.Just confirmed that we, in fact, were asked about and did approve the appearance several months ago. Jamie A. and Blake M. asked for and received our blessing. I'm not sure that we would make the same decision now, given recent events. Unfortunate timing, but not Jamie or Blake's fault whatsoever.
Please don't use them as pawns to try to prove a point. They were asked by Varsity to be guest judges/speakers at the event, and all of that was approved by us. If you have a question or issue with them being there, please confront me or one of the other coaches about it.
