With this champion league and scoring changes this year. Plus the offer to purchase USASF. I wonder if the gyms are pushing for change? And if yes, to what extent? Many have asked for a change to make the USASF more a stand alone from varsity. The drawbacks are Worlds, money, and the fact they started this. Sometimes we tend to forget what an investment that was and still is. I also see the point of needing the governing body over safety for all start have no personal influence. You don't want the fox guarding the henhouse. Many have profited from Varsity's investment and idea, no doubt. Also there is a need for transparency. A separate entity, this group offered, now the question is "which is better". By charging athlete registration and gym registration along with credentialing, it, the USASF, could be completely Independent. Worlds is the kicker. That is the elephant in the room. I have talked with many about this, some for and against. I understand both sides. My question is why does Worlds have to be put on by USASF? I have always wondered this. I expect several mean responses, but as a past coach, gym owner and present athlete parent, why not let someone else run worlds? It has always baffled me. This way it could be completely independent with no lobbying or concern from an event producer, uniform maker, shoe or apparel. A body of adults with no permanent positions voted on by the industry. Each gym, business, event producer, could have a vote as to representation. Is this possible? Like the model of Olympics or NCAA, each person votes but the ruling body would be just that a ruling body. Each event could offer there brand of scoring as long as it didn't break a USASF RULE. This happens now. I just am always told that Worlds and its expense is what hurts the USASF and varsity graciously foots the bill. Could we not just take the Worlds responsibility away from USASF? Let it worry about rules, regulations and registering athletes? Just wondering. I sure there are several companies that would be glad to host Worlds. Maybe this is what this new champion league thing is. Who knows! Maybe this has been asked before, but I was re reading the USASF purpose. I don't see it as an event producer nor apparel company. Just my two cents and an honest question? Can this be done?

It could be done. I think some people that would try may be influential coaches or gym owners. So other may say the results are biased. Now if it was Cheersport that put on worlds... Where would CEA go? Various companies/EPs have problems with gyms. That's the only example I specifically know of.

If it was a combination of EPs, coaches, owners, etc that ran Worlds... I believe people (as I said) would say the results are biased, if they don't like the results.
Just my two cents ^^^
