I had my first tumbling private ever today and I was working on my BHS. I've never done one before so it was all new to me. After I was done I had the worst headache ever like I felt like my head was gonna fall off. I also felt kinda nauseous. Is that normal for your first time ever tumbling because my body wasn't used to the constant like flipping?

I imagine it would be normal. Just remember to breathe! I used to hold my breath in my tumbling (jumps and stunting too) and I always felt sick and weak afterwards. Your body just may need time to get used to it.

This happens to me all the time! My advice is to take an ibuprofen or some Advil before going to tumbling. That's always prevented it for me.

its natural for you to feel some kind of pain when you do something youre not normally used to doing.

On my first private back after an 8 week break from an ankle sprain, I had a migraine for about an hour and was seeing spots and felt like throwing up for an hour. I was deeeefinitely out of shape ahahah! Privates are hard work as you don't stop working, so make sure you're not just throwing skills without thinking about technique!

i know on standing tumbling i hold my breath. idk why though...and usually i get really dizy afterwards. But i believe its because i never do standing tumbling and at CA i have too hahah so my body isnt use to it. & on fulls i only open my eyes when i get through with my twist. Im very different hahah (:

I hold my breath and close my eyes (my coaches finally got me to start opening them like last week) lol! So when I do a long tumbling pass I get dizzy... not that it stops me from doing those passes.... But your just not in shape yet! You'll get used to it! My advice would be to not eat alot before you go tumble... I mean like you can eat like a granola bar or something but dont like eat a big mac and fries and expect to not feel sick doing that many flips... once your conditioned though eating alot doesnt matter as much

I used to get headaches at every practice, it was ridiculous. I read online somewhere to make sure you drink plenty of water before going or doing it so you don't get dehydrated. I started drinking water before practice and I don't get them anymore.
This may not be the problem, you may do it already, but it helped me so if you don't you may want to try it.
