I just learned that my CPs will most likely be doing both NCA Nationals in Dallas and UCA in Orlando next season and I need to start thinking about doing some fundraising to help offset the costs. Anybody have any ideas or have done some successful fundraisers this season?

On my old team our whole gym went to the golf course and did a 'flips for tips' thing where we tumbled and the people playing golf there would tip us if they wanted! It was sooo much fun an successful! We raised alot of money, which alot of the level 5 guys brought in and the minis :) lol you should give it a try! And there's always car washes, selling candy/candles and other things like that!

Are you talking about personal fundraising or gym wide fundraising?

In my post I was talking about a group fundraising lol sorry if you were meaning individual!

Either group or team fundraisers, preferrably team fundraisers.

OMG!! OMG!! OMG!!
World Finest Chocolate Bars

They are the BEST BEST BEST!!! And you don't see them that much anymore!! In fact, if you do the, call me....I'll take about 20!!

I tell you the best fundraisers we have done have been the gas raffle and Banner Sales. The gas raffle is an easy sale. The gym printed their own tickets with logo, raffle amount and a place for name and phone number and drawing ending date. The cost of the tickets were $1 a piece for a chance to win $250 in gas. We purchased the gas prize from Citgo however it would work for you to do a visa gift card. For every $1 ticket you sold atleast 90 cents went straight to your account. The profit margin depends on how many participate and how many tickets sold. You have to be willing to give up a few of your weekends to stand out front of stores like walmart or the gas stations themselves but I know more than one family who raised over $700 off the gas raffle. The only cost you are covering is the printing of the tickets and the cost of the gas prize so it's very affordable. Also we did a fundraiser where we sold banners to businesses. Their were different tiers you sold the lowest one being $250 and anywhere from $175-$200 went straight to your account depending on the cost to print the banner, and if they renew the next year you get even more because the banner does not have to be redone unless the customer request. Many people paid for their entire seasons off of that one as well. The last one that works pretty well is Spirit Sponsors. You can ask friends and family members or associates to donate. They can donate one time or agree to donate as much as they want. Hope these help.

We did this for our Worlds team - but any team could do it for a bigger nationals.

We did a "Worlds Sponsor" T-Shirt. Ill post a picture. It was a white shirt with black writing... This was an individual fundraiser but the whole team participated.

Shirts were $10.00 - You got to keep $7 for yourself - $3 went to the company making them (The company making them used $3 as a sponsor). Also you could sell a $10 ad on the back. It could be a business add or someone saying "Good luck At Worlds" You kept all $10 of that. We had NUMEROUS kids that raised over $800 and many more that made enough to cover Worlds fee.

Great Idea!!!

You can do a cheer bow tree and sell tickets to raffle it off! its really cute and a ton of people will participate!

you could always buy a girft card to a store most ppl like ,or a mall and sell raffle tickets

Gertude Hawk Chocolate is great too. In our area there are companies that pay per pound for clothing donations. Easy money at spring/fall cleaning time and can be done a few times per season.

I like the idea of the bow tree, but you could also try just selling bows. You could have some girls on your teams learn to make them

When we travel out of town, we get a block of rooms. For so many rooms, you get comp rooms. We raffled off our comp rooms for $10.0 per chance. The other one we did was got special seats at our local college team game and raffled off for $10 each or 3 for $25. This was one of our favorites.

One of our friends just put on a spaghetti dinner with silent auction and dessert auction. It was for a special family, so people were VERY generous, but we made $6000. Church was donated, food was donated, desserts were donated.
