I don't even think having International as the first division will help as you will have people lining up to mark their seats all day and keeping them tied up. I think if you start out the morning with Large Senior and Large coed at the same time, then have an international division after, that will clear out the venue until the next nigh division and again out on medium senior and medium coed and then maybe another international division and finish up with small senior and small coed or any combination of all girl in one arena and coed in another.

Again a band aid, as more and more spectators are heading to worlds year after year. What I also think they may do is open up the Indiana Jones as an additional venue along with Jostens and the Milkhouse

Eh, They had level 6 Semi-Finals Sunday morning last year (and then finals later in the day) and I was competing to an empty Milkhouse at 9 or 9:30am. People didn't start trickling in until later in the morning, but you're right that it didn't solve any problems later in the day, it jsut delayed it. Even last year they were asking people to leave.

As my friends were texting me all day from both inside the Field House for those who got there very early and outside the Field house for those who couldn't get in, I was so happy I had paid my $50 and watched the livestream from my home all weekend long. While there is nothing like being at Worlds live - the vibe is unmatchable and the air is so electric - I would have been livid if I had been sold a full price ticket at any time of the day only to find out I could not get in and my only choice was to watch the live feed on the Jumbotron in the stadium. After what happened this year, if the way entry is handled does not change, I can only imagine what time people will plan on getting there each morning just to make sure they get in next year. We were there a few years ago and I don't remember having any of the issues encountered this year. The event has simply outgrown the venue size.

One thing I want to point out though is I think a lot of you are forgetting the people from Florida, like myself, who go to Worlds to watch just because it's close to home and why not? I live about two hours from Orlando so for me to make a weekend trip out of it isn't a big deal at all. For this reason, I wouldn't mind watching most divisions from the baseball field if the pricing was tiered.

I'm not going to read through this whole thread, but IMO, they can make a ticket to get into the MH $200 a piece and those that love to watch worlds are gonna pay it. Don't they realize that All Star cheer is expensive in and of itself so paying more to sit in the MH isn't going to be a problem for most people. You're still going to have the overcrowding issue. WE NEED A BIGGER VENUE PEOPLE!!! I fear that what's gonna happen is that they are going to have the most popular divisions spread out between Epcot and WWS so that they make it impossible or undesirable for fans to sit and watch all day... blah

To piggyback off that, how about priority entrance for USASF members first? In other words, something like this:

1. Each team competing gets 2 FREE tickets per participant for family (much like a high school or college graduation) but only for the division that their CP competes in.
2. Additional family members can purchase tickets on a first come, first serve basis.
3. USASF member coaches and USASF member athletes can receive a discounted rate for the whole event.
4. Everyone else would have to purchase tickets for individual divisions, and when they are sold out, you get FREE jumbotron.

Also, this whole problem would be solved if they just had a separate venue for those "at-large" winners. Have a wild card competition somewhere, much like NCA college has(had?) where your teams that didn't make finals would compete for the extra slot to make it to day 2. Say there's an at-large competition in Jostens during the day on Fri, where all the at-large bid recipients compete for 5 spots to make it to prelims. Wouldn't that solve the problem?

This is a great idea, and similar to what USA Gymnastics does for their Nationals. There are tickets for Junior Men's Prelims, Junior Women's Prelims, Senior Men's Prelims, Senior Women's Prelims, Junior Men's Finals, Junior Women's Finals, Senior Men's Finals, Senior Women's Finals. You can buy individual tickets to individual events, or you can buy packages (Total Access-all events, Men's only, Women's only). They clear out the arena between sessions, even if you have a full package ticket. I really think that part of the problem is that the Milkhouse is general admission for seating, which encourages the saved seats etc. They need to go to an arena with designated seating (you buy a ticket for a specific seat), but until that happens they need to create "sections" to the seating in the Milkhouse so that your ticket designates a specific section and ushers are checking tickets before allowing you into that section. You want to sit right up front? You'll pay more.

Mclovin I agree. I don't necessarily like the concept that there is really only one option in most circumstances, but in this one, I believe that there is NEW VENUE. If they want to keep it at Disney, they either need to construct a movable stage on Champions filed, or convert Cirque de Soliel to a cheer event during that weekend. I know of no other place that is on Disney property that can hold that number of people.

I can remember being terrified at the bandshell in Daytona during NCA College finals because the sun was in my face and I couldn't see my flyer coming out of her toss. HUGE safety issue IMO.... Isn't there something in Orlando like a football stadium that can be converted to an indoor facility? (I believe Houston's Astrodome does this?)

I'm also from the Tampa area and that is exactly what happened for me. And it really isn't...it's only in the low to mid 80s! That's not hot for Florida at all, really.

Yes, you can fit 20,000+ people in Amway Center but you cannot have two separate floors for teams to perform on. If we used one stage, we'd need to make the competition at least four days to make up for the time we're losing. That's not feasible.

I know tons of people say "pick my city for worlds!!" but I'm sure any large city can accommodate something like this, I'm going to use mine merely as an example not as a i think worlds should be held here.

In San Antonio we have the Freeman Coliseum which is literally next to the AT&T center. Both hold well over 10K people, more with floor seating. while the AT&T center is home to the Spurs so an April weekend wouldn't be ideal...the Freeman can and has been split in half (like they do with the halls at NCA) with cheer events having, for example, small gym going on one side of the curtain and large gyms going on the other side. It has several food choices, very few lines, ample parking. San antonio has tons of other things to do and plenty of cultural/language diversity (as does most large cities).

Closer to downtown is the Convention Center and the Alamo Dome. both have even large capacity and the ability to be split in half (Alamo dome) or have several halls being used (Convention center). I'm not sure about the seating situation and if there is one large arena type of area, but really the alamo dome would work and there are not major sports teams that use it. (San Antonio is lame like that).

Furthermore all downtown venues are within walking distance of the riverwalk, which is a major tourist destination. The Alamo, several museums and only a shortish drive to Sea World, Six Flags and a couple of waterparks.

Basically, most cities have this. I don't think it's very economical to fly into San Antonio, though at all. Maybe somewhere like Austin, which is MUCH cooler and has cheaper air fare...LOL.

I get that disney has convenient free transportation, but don't most teams charter their own bus/buses any way? Don't most hotels have shuttles to and from the airport? just asking, i know our team gets a bus when we go to UCA.

How would you weed them out so there wouldn't be a need for two arenas? They currently have teams competing on Friday and only some move on to Saturday and then even fewer move on to Sunday.

Im just curious.... what would you suggest my husband and I do with our two minor children who are in the first come, first serve line?? or should we give them our 2 tickets, throw them into the crowd, and then we ourselves wait in line and hope to get in?
