How involved are your gym owners with the cheer teams?
Do they coach, go to competitions, have parent meetings or is that left up to the coaches?
Is there a cheer director that deals with the money and parent issues or do the coaches do that?

She is involved and supportive but not hands on.
Our gym owner does not coach cheer but she attends/conducts meetings and she goes to some competitions. I am the head coach and director of our cheer rec and all star program so I conduct all of the cheer business with her input and collaboration.

The owners are very involved, they are the head coaches on a couple teams, one of them specifically coaches 1 of the tumbling classes. They are at every competition. Last year at 1 of our FL competitions a lot of parents couldn't go and instead of these parents getting them to go with their kids friends parents they got the coach whom I believe someone said put up I think the number was 27 kids. So there very involved. I'm not sure I could handle more then 5 haha!!

Were not really big on parent meetings but if you need to talk to her just let her know she is really open pretty much whenever.

She does have someone who works the office a few days a week and takes the money and addresses concerns. However, the owner does it every other time and is open for concerns if you rather talk to her.

So I would say besides owning the gym she plays into every aspect. Competitions, money, uniforms, teams, coaching-
& all while being a parent to 2 young girls!!

My Gym owner (Male) works with every team!, his wife does all the accounting/$ situation.

they both go to the competitions.
they both attend every single event.
every meeting they attend.

I'm sure it varies depending on the gym and the owner. I'm involved with everything at the gym, but I definitely don't do it by myself, I have a wonderful staff :)

Our gyms is owned by a mother daughter team and the daughter's husband. They all coach multiple teams and the main owner, the daughter, does all our choreography herself. They all attend all our competitions, host meetings, and participate in every aspect of gym life

Our gym owner is the Head coach of 1 team and assists with a couple others... We have an office staff that handles the financial matters...

the owner of the gym i go to doesnt even know when we have competitions and he probably doesnt care :/ its pretty sad!

our gym owner runs everything. she coaches one team, does the accounting, runs meetings, etc. she is at every competition.

I am a gym owner and along with my 2 partners, we are in the gym every day and we are at all competitions. We have 2 head coaches who have strong input into decision making. I love being there and interacting with the athletes and their families! I can't imagine not being around all the time lol

Our gym owner is the head coach for all teams so obviously she's at all the competitions and she's at the gym during every practice

My wife and I own a gym. She does all the books/accounting/managing of the business, and I head coach our 5 teams. We have a couple assistant coaches. But we feel the only way to become a successful gym is to be extremely hands on.

My gym owners are amazing! They all coach at least one team, they coach specialty classes, they're at every comp and they make themselves extremely available to whoever needs to talk to them whether it be a parent, athlete or coach.
