^^^Along the same lines:
I have seen some gyms having specific Summit team tryouts and I wonder if this displaces kids who are already on a team? In theory it should only be replacing any Worlds crossovers but I wondered.
Everyone is all like "finish your season" but in these sorts of situations (e.g. midseason type tryouts for Summit. Or midseason openings on Worlds teams that displace kids) what is a kid/parent to do?
You can't "Loyalty!!!!" people to death then be free to add to a team for Summit or shuffle positions when someone new/possibly better comes onto a Worlds team.
Ex: Situations in which Tina Tumbler said she was not cheering for whatever reason. Then in middle of season, Tina decides she is cheering and someone loses a flyer or tumbler spot for Tina. Then when that kid leaves because not fair, it's World War 3.
Or if a gym has a Summit-specific tryout and it results in Suzy becoming a nugget for running tumbling to make a spot for New Kid from Summit Tryout. That child will not be happy and it is unreasonable to 'LOYALTY' them into staying.
School example: If we randomly decided to have a midyear tryout and add the entire gymnastics team, then make my 6 main tumblers nuggets, they are going to quit.
