It has been a tough Father's Day here - but now there's less than a month until my husband comes home. He's been a fierce cheer-coach-husband for years and will be the fiercest cheer dad for the four-year-old's first year as a cheerleader!

SarahS it was a tough father's day for my kiddo as well, her dad is still deployed overseas, but we'll celebrate when he returns!

That's where my husband is. Soon. Very, very soon. Counting down the days.

Prayers for you both. I've known both sides. My father was killed in Vietnam when I was five and my son just came home a few weeks ago after his enlistment with the Marines and a tour in Afghanistan.

My dad's had a pretty rough day, too. My brother was airlifted to emergency surgery last night, and my mom sued him today!

I just realized right now that this is the first time in 20 years I havent been with my dad today :( hes exactly 702 miles away in orlando wow bummer

ACEDAD thank you for your prayers, you will be in mine's also. And thank you for your service as well, as military families, while our loves are out fighting a war overseas, we are here, holding down the homefront.

I know it isn't quite as fun, but when my cp dad is deployed, she likes to do Skype/phone dates. They eat together , talk about their days and she "gives" him his gifts if it's a hoilday....She didn't get to do it this year, since where he is at doesn't allow Internet/phone, but when he does have Internet/phone,they love doing it, because it makes them both feel apart of each other's daily life. You should try it sometimes!
