All-Star Help Out A New Allstar Gym!!

Maximum Velocity Cheer is a new gym in Abilene Tx.

Our mission is: to provide the sport of competitive cheer to any child regardless of their financial situation.

Right now we are barely making enough to pay the bills! We are trying hard for donations and sponsorships, but It's Just not enough because of all of our Scholarshipped Children. How can we go on a larger scale to get more donations?
Are there any companies out there willing to give large donations or private investors?
We have many talented athletes and right now all we can provide for them is a Very used spring floor.

Try writing grants. Thats what kids at my school do it they need money for a function

I would try writing grants. There is a big push on getting kids active and I know there is money out there for that. Any local companies that would donate if you put their name on a shirt or a banner in your gym.

My mom got a grant from work for us for my school cheer. I can't remember how much it was for, maybe $500?

If you're looking to be considered "non-profit" you can apply for 501c3 (?) status, which gives certain tax breaks and allowances for a non-profit organization. Look into it. I believe if you're granting a certain amount of scholarships and/or can provide proof that the monies you receive are not creating profit for your business, you'd be eligible. There's also LOTS of businesses out there that will donate or sponsor a non-profit club, thus helping bring in enough money to support your financial needs. Now, this is of course all a moot point if you're not looking to go non-profit lol.

I love that this gym is offering scholarships and stuff. I think it is just incredible, and I love how they are offering an chance for everyone to cheer, regardless of the financial situation. I hope to see more of this in the future. :)
