Hey! I have a competition coming up in 6 days! I was wondering if any of you had any tips to facial expressions during a routine? Other than of course just smiling the whole time. Thanks a bunch!

I prefer smiles and singing. Fake facials and bobble heads are distracting

Do whats most comfortable for you. My coach always said "practice how you want to perform. If you wait til' competition day to do it, you will get caught off guard."

Aaaaah bobble heads.....ruins watching the whole routine for me. I can't focus on anything else but that head.

i sing my entire routine out loud and i wink a lot. I try and lip sing it but it just kinda comes out and it makes it fun. And the winking thing that just kinda happens to but i'm always told i'm fun to watch so i guess it works

Gone are the days of the bobble head 'facials.' As a performer, what shines through easiest is whatever you do naturally: smiling, singing the words, a casual wink, anything. What comes out the best? CONFIDENCE. If you're confident in your routine, you can just focus on performing it. A tip from stage actors: when you perform, they say 'perform it to the back of the house.' You don't want to be over-the-top, but your energy should radiate throughout the whole arena.

I always sing my music throughout the entire routine. i listen to it over and over and learn most of the words/VO's and smile while singing. put your heart and passion into it and you won't have to worry
