You will never learn unless you do it wrong and learn to fix it. Don't be scared of making mistakes. Instead, focus on the notes your coach gives you when introducing the skill, try to apply those notes and when you get feedback/corrections, make them. Like actually think about what you're doing incorrectly and try to feel it, and then feel the difference when it's done correctly. As a plus, if you'r new, you theoretically should have no bad habits to break. Also, see if you can get videos of your stunts and watch them for the corrections your coach is giving you, and then apply them. Sometimes seeing it makes what you're doing much clearer. And finally, go have fun and enjoy learning something new and pushing yourself as an athlete. You'll never grow otherwise

I'm a person who believes that we learn best from our mistakes.

I have a cousin who became a flyer during her sophomore year of high school. She was scared (as was her mom), yet with encouragement and lots of practice, she spent three wonderful years atop stunts and being tossed like nobody's business--like a natural!

If you don't try, you'll probably regret it later. Go for it and best wishes to you!
