If a HS team in IL is found to be breaking any of the rules (athletes competing with both school and AS at the same time, competing out of 'season', competing on a spring floor) the team can be disqualified from competing for at least the year. I'm not sure if they can tell them that they can't practice or cheer at games at all, though. Now how do they say you can't do both? if they find out you are doing both they your team is disqualified?
I think its kinda cool to watch but I would HATE to have to actually do it. Tumbling and stunting are my favorite part of cheer and so little of that was in there. Plus I like music and the dancing. I think its more fun that way.I hated every second of the MHSAA video.. Sorry, not for me.
Is cheerleading now a sport in Kentucky?I'm not sure yet, but we have our yearly meeting of Louisville area coaches and KHSAA in a few weeks so I will pass along information as it comes.
