this is my first year of middle school and i lived in this area when i was in kindergarten and first grade then moved out of state then moved back here in the middle of 5th grade. i didn't really have any friends last year in 5th after i moved, i only had like 3 friends that wasn't in my class so i was just kinda by myself all day. this year none of them go to my school. i am alone all day at school!! all of my friends are from cheer and none of them go to my school!! my teachers have asked me why i don't really socialize with anyone but i just can't seem to make friends!! sense i came in the middle of the year last year everyone kinda already had their groups of friends and this year sense my only friends from school moved, i have nobody. i have just been considering home school because sense i'm going to be switching cheer gyms and going to Cheer Extreme i'm gonna be busy. i know they practice more than us and i live 45 minutes away from the gym. i know i'm gonna be very lonely when i don't have cheer if i do home school but i also don't talk to anyone at my school either. what do you think i should do??

my mom thinks i should do home school but i was thinking about it and when i get into high school alot of my friends from cheer will be going there. i also don't wanna be lonely everyday at school for he next 3 years. i don't know what to do... :(

you could always do home school for middle school and then go to high school with your friends if you decide that's what you want to do. i was home schooled from kindergarten through eighth grade and then went to public high school, and it worked out well for me.

if you do end up being home schooled, have your parents see about getting involved in a local home school support group. i have no idea how common they are in your area, but where i'm from we had several to choose from. they were a great way to make friends with other local home schoolers (some of my best friends even now at age 20!) and also some of the parents who had degrees and even teaching credentials in certain areas taught classes. a lot of groups even have yearbooks and stuff that you can work on.

whatever you end up doing, good luck! i know how hard it can be to feel like you're the odd one out at school, but it sounds like you have some great friends at cheer, so keep your head up and remember that you do have people who love you, even if they're not at school with you!

I would honestly do anything to home school... And if you don't like it you can always go back expecially for high school. If your parents are supportive than do it!

We homeschool and are also in NC. It is very easy to set yourself up as a home schooling family!!! Where do you live? I might be able to help you find a group near you!!

I did homeschooling online for a year in high school. I really enjoyed it, but at the time, I didn't do cheer or anything else and got really lonely. But I'm sure that wouldn't have been a problem if I was doing cheer or something else. But I loved not having to wake up early and get dressed and all for school.
