Hi all,

My team is facing a bit of personal drama at the moment, two Junior girls in particular have been spreading rumors about another junior on our team. I think it's because the coach said she had come a long way and if she kept it up, she would probably be co-captain next year. The girl getting picked on hasn't really come up with the rest of us through middle school cheering, so they're feeling like they've earned it and she's stealing it from them. And I think there's a bit of jealousy because a lot of guys have started paying attention to her. Which just adds fuel to the rumor fire. I know, immature and all that. But what is the best way to stop it? A lot of people have said ignore it and I tried for a few weeks, but it has just been getting worse. I've also been trying to combat it and call it out when I hear it, but I think the girls are just doing it behind my back now when I'm not around.

So how do you guys handle drama like this?

Honestly no matter what, DO NOT STOOP TO THOSE GIRLS LEVEL. I know your situation because that is happened to me kinda too. all thorough competition season I had weak tumbling (barley a BHS) but then in one month I got so much better (got my full). All of my
Friends were always better than me then I got ahead of them And on the higher team. They all got really mad and were nice to my face but they would all say stuff behind my back. The only thing that u can do to handle this is to be the bigger person and try to influence those around you to make good decisions. Also you should make that girl feel included with everyone and not an outsider. She isn't trying to pass everyone up and she definatly deserves to be captain if she is working really hard!!
I hope that this will kinda help you!!

WOAH in a month?!?!

hahah yeaaahhh i dont know how that worked...
thats awesome though, congrats :) all your hard work definetly paid off! It took me 3 years to go from a handspring to a full. I think sometimes its your age as well. The younger you are, the easier skills are to get! Thats why I wish I would have started when I was like 3. haa those itty bitty girls with doubles are sick and are just gonna get better and better!

Push her in front of a bus after the confessions and falling into a group of girls, or call the Maury show and borrow their boot camp people to do an anti bullying boot camp episode.

In all seriousness though, take it up with a coach/teacher/administrator of some sort. If you've tried to handle it yourself and it's not working, you need to go to someone with power. That behavior is completely unacceptable, especially in high school. And when this happens, it can be dangerous not only to that individual person, but the whole team. Maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but drama can lead to bad things that you may see in the teammates sabotaging eachother thread and the temper tantrum thread
