All-Star I Need Yalls Opinions Pleasee

Okay, I auditioned for a play at my high school called A Midsummer's Night Dream and I have one of the main roles. Well I just found out today that I have a one day competition that weekend. The play is on Friday, Saturday and Sunday I believe and I'm totally not sure what to do.
So, what would yall do?

I would also immediately talk about it with your coach about the situation, don't wait. Let he/she know as soon as possible so you can work something out far in advance ; therefor if you have to skip parts of the competition for the play your team can coordinate accordingly.

Yeah, that was my first thing I would try. Problem is that if the competition is on Saturday I believe I have 2 shows plus the competition is 2 1/2 - 3 hours away but I'm hoping that it is on Sunday b/c we would only have a day show so if we performed later I could possibly make it. It's all just a big mess.

I'm useless at this sort of advice..but I love midsummer. And Shakespeare for that matter..who did you get?

I think there are two main questions:

Which one did you commit to first?
Which one is more important to you?

In all fairness you should give the most (if not all) consideration to the one you first committed to. Let both the coach and producer know you are trying to do this but hoping for compromise so that one activity doesn't lose out over the other.

You could just provide all the consideration to the one you think is most important to you even if you didn't commit to that first. Your coach or producer might not like it if they knew they were your first commitment and you are not taking them first.

Your best bet is to explain how important both are to you and that you are hoping they can help you compromise. You're young and there are always fill-ins.
