a new series (whether YouTube or TV) of cheerleaders but lower levels... Many work just as hard as a level 5 team... However as much as cheer perfection was a hoot to watch cause of the momma drama, I'm not interested in that... I'm interested in all aspects of cheer, just less parent drama, more about practices, clinics, tumbling, young ones dreams, etc... Think of dance moms but just cheer... Comp every episode... What changed in the routine, what didn't, judges remarks, etc...

Do you watch Dance Moms? It is 90% drama and 10% dance/kids.

Sidenote: Does anyone remember the series (on either WE or Oxygen) that featured UK and UCF for a few seasons? That was so good and I remember that it actually focused on CHEER moreso than other things. I'd love to see that for lower levels.

Yea but the mama drama drives me insane I just like watching the dancing the comps and some of the kid interaction when it doesn't feel scripted. Me and cp usually fast forward when the moms start their drama lol

I really think something like a junior level 1 or 2 team would be best for this that would show all the little details that go into our sport. Learning and fixing the little things like pinkies together when you load is and wrists together at prep, flyers locking out arms in a sponge and holding their own knees up. Just the things that sometimes that get lost as you go older and more advanced.

I would love a web series about cheer athletics IBK they are so stinking cute and would be awesome to see how they teach the little ones as their routines are fab

I would be interested in even senior or junior teams not just youths or minis even though they're cute!!

Dance Mom's has turned into the trainwreck of all trainwrecks, especially this season---I do think a series following lower levels would be fun, but to be honest, without mama drama they're not sustainable on TV (as proven by those who have tried) and while YT is a viable option---I'm not sure how many lower level teams would have full parental support to do it. I know I personally would not want CP's team followed and put up on YT. Or TV for that matter.

Again I think a good series would be like a senior 1-4 or junior 1-4. My idea (obviously in my head) is having a series that shows how hard it is to get new skills and how hard lower levels work... And whether everyone agrees or not, how hard it is to gain respect as a cheerleader when ur not a level 5 athlete.

Everyone loves the minis the youths and the level 5 athletes but lower level athletes don't always get the same respect until they're throwing level 5 skills.

And I'm not talking cheerlebrity athletes.... I've seen 8 year olds throw fulls but what about that 14 year old who just isn't great a tumbling or who is struggling to get that tuck etc...

Even thinking more about it, it doesn't even have to be about one particular gym... It can just be about different cheerleaders just trying to improve and grow in this cheer world we all live in! Lol just saying... I would totally watch... Lol

If there were to be another cheer series, id like to see either a j4 or j5 team.

Senior aged athletes have a lot of attitudes and I don't want to watch that. I know juniors have attitudes too but I just think seniors have more and it's more constant. Plus when I was on junior teams, everyone wanted to be there. When I was on senior teams, not everyone wanted to be there, they were preoccupied with other things or they were only doing to be "a cheerleader".

I don't think levels 1-3 could hold their own as far as viewers outside of cheer. Obviously everyone here would enjoy any level of its done right but I can't see a majority of non-cheer people wanting to watch level 2 athletes every week. I think most j4s and j5s have athletes being conditioned and groomed to be put on worlds teams and the pressure that makes for good tv is there. I think the journey to making a worlds team would be a great story to tell and a story non-cheer people could relate to. I mean it's just like watching any other athlete train to get to the pro level but these are little kids.
