I started coaching in 1984, right out of HS, coaching youth league and HS jh teams, moved into All Stars in 1997, where I coached in NJ, PA, NC, where I was at for 14 years, my heart was always there for sure❤️ I came back home to Ohio, 8 years ago, to care fir my ailing father, who passed away 2 years later, where since I wasn't coaching. Went back to coaching HS cheer, where I started in 84.... I taught camps with Americheer, ECA, Cheersport, and the company, where I feel I really got my start, Cheer LTD, taught camps with them, choreographed, coaches conferences and what not for 10 years 96-06, some of the best times of my life, which allowed me to meet and work for the teams/gyms in PA, NJ, and mostly, NC I have judged for many National companies from 96 until 2018, want to get back into that as well.... I haven't been on here in about a year, I always try to get on here for WORLDS, major Nationals, etc.... I just miss All Star Cheerleading‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️⭐✨🌟🎶😎👏🏾🎉☀️🍀🥰💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Hi! My name is Marcie and I am 62 years old. I can kick … I can strrretch … and I can Kick! 😂 I live in Jacksonville, FL by way of the Indianapolis, IN area.

I cheered in high school. One year wasn’t enough, but it’s all that I got. I spent years watching UCA and NCA competitions, growing in awe of evolving skills (and safety rules!) year after year. I spent a great deal of time earning certifications and landed an opportunity to coach a 6th grade squad. I was in love with this sport all over again! The school closed leaving me on the outside looking in again. When it finally dawned on me that I should try being a competition judge, I worked in earning that certification, too. It was fun for five years, but with my health declining, I couldn’t keep up with changes, and especially couldn’t keep up with the lightning speed that’s required of judges. So at that, I went into a retirement I didn’t want, but it was necessary. And besides, the event producers don’t want/need judges who can’t keep up. I totally understand that.

Now having typed all of that, I occasionally check in here to see what’s up and if I feel I can contribute experience or advice as a coach, judge, or CheerMom (I was one, too!), I’ll chime in.

Peace, y’all. Cheers!

What teams are you most excited to see? Weber has become one of my favorites! Their stunting and tumbling skills are incredible!
Thread 'Introduce Yourself!'
Let's get the conversation going with some simple introductions. Tell us about yourself. I'll start. My wife and I are actually gymnastics coaches. We have 3 children that are all gymnasts. I took over this site as I am a huge forum junkie. I also run ChalkBucket.com (gymnastics community). ChalkBucket has many parents who have athletes that transition to all-star cheer. This site is a perfect place for them to continue with all the fun that forums are! Also... I am here to learn...
