All-Star Ipods/iphones Vs Cd's

An event here has all coaches emailing in their music, named with team name, division and level. They'll compile a playlist based on the performance order and start the music from the coaches cue.

I'm not sure how easy this would be at huge competitions like NCA or Cheersport, but it's worked pretty well here.
We had an event like that! Loved it. The dj handled everything and I didn't have to do a thing!

Hate CD's! I actually use my old ipod that I abandoned back when I got a phone. The routine music is the ONLY thing on the ipod.

You could always bring an auxilary cord with you too and then the DJ shouldn't have an issue.

Also, you can do this with any phone that plays music, not necessarily an ipod/phone.

i use my ipad for my teams' music and i think it is a million times easier than having to search for a CD somewhere or if I had forgotten it in the CD player at the gym from practicing.

At my gym we still use CD and I'm pretty sure that it only been in the past couple of years that the competitions we go to over here have started using iPods/iPhones but our coach did try the iPhone way at a competition last year and somehow the music got wiped from her phone and they didn't have any back up so had to use another team's music, so I think that's the main reason we're sticking to CDs now and also we're a really small gym (just two teams competing) so it isn't that many CDs to carry around :)
