The point of this discussion instead of watching the incredible video
1. The girl [Amanda] maybe wasnt comfortable with her new uni. They used the old Uni throughout the season until NCA so maybe she's still getting the hang of the uni's fit
2. A girl wouldnt risk being exposed or embarrased after landing an incredibly difficult pass.
3. The video wass an unlucky angle. For the girl [Amanda]: "Oh im in the back and i could DISCREETLY fix my UNI before i throw my globe-worthy pass" but NO, this video shows her side. . .so no escape. bahaha . .
4. A coach will always be a coach, and this sport is evolving reli fast into something . . . [something no one could figure out] and it is the coaches' duty to maintain all the origins/rules/ethics of the sport before it gets reli crazy. She was right about it so no need to pick on her because she wanted to point that out. Besides, she's got kids to coach who might be watching the video and would think "oh, that's cool, ill do that before i do my pass". Not good.

Now back to the video . . .
I LOVE THAT new DANCE SONG. I was horrified to hear the new mix and they got rid of that song [that was in the old JR mix] . . .i dunno if it was custom but i cant find it anywhere. . . . and yes @caa10 , theyre not doing crazy dances this year. . .the routine's crazy enough . . .ahahaha .. crazy good!

I don't think people had an issue with the coach saying it was distracting that she messed with her uniform. I don't think anyone will doubt that. I think this issue came when they said she should be "more focused". She obviously landed her (incredibly difficult) pass, and we have no idea how focused/not focused she was before she tumbled.

I'm not really saying I take sides either way, just explaining a little. But yes I'm a coach too and teach my kids to leave their uniforms alone.

Maybe that's why I was never allowed to touch my aforementioned gymnastics leo during a routine? Because they wanted me to keep my focus..who knew? If a coach has a strong gymnastics background, leo touching is, like I said a BIG no-no..explains a lot!

Amanda kills it. Please dont hate on her especailly if you cant tumble like her. Girl is FIERCE and way to talented. Congrads to the entire Cali Bullet family for having such a successful program this year in all levels. I cant wait to cheer them on at worlds!

& another thing in all honesty the only way you would have NOTICED her even messing with her uniform is if you had watch the routine more then 3 times and had LOOKED for her to do it. I personally didnt notice her messing with her uniform at all the first 5 times watching, actually i didnt notice her messing with it until someone posted it on here, But hopefully at worlds if she decides to fix her bow in the corner she will make it more dramtic and have some from the audience stand in the corner with the mirror so she can get a good look at herself before she tumbles (: hah

I'm just wondering have you ever coached anyone as talented as her or taught anyone a pass with the same level of difficulty these passes require? I'm just betting if you did you wouldn't care if she was fixing her skirt or even picking her nose! Sorry for the sarcasm but what this girl does is amazing and if fixing a skirt helps her land her pass then who r u to say anything?

Doesnt matter how talented you are, when you pick at your uni like that you are getting points knocked off your transition technique score....
