High School Uniforms. Traditional or AllStar style?

I’m in the middle of picking out uniforms for my HS team. The other coaches love the AllStar glitz and glam look while I like a traditional clean look. Is the traditional style out? I keep seeing people/kids posting how much they like the traditional style. How do we feel about an AllStar uniform for HS cheer??

The traditional clean look will never go out of style. If you have a competition team, I can understand the desire for some crystals to add some sparkle under artificial lighting. If they are cheering outdoors, however, crystals don't have the same effect in sunlight and are a waste of the added expense.

Why not do both? Get a traditional-style uniform and put some glitz and glam on it, or maybe if it is in your budget, have two different uniforms, one traditional and one all star-ish.

While I like the responses I've read, I'm an old-school former cheerleader who loves tradition. I still miss pleated skirts (but not saddle oxfords)! Are you open to showing your team(s) the options you've narrowed down to and let them give input (not necessarily let them decide)? I also realize that once you make the purchase, the teams will most likely have to wear those uniforms for ~3 years before new uniforms can be purchased, so that's something else to keep in mind.
