So my flyer and I are really good friends, and she is usually an average level 5 flyer. She tries really hard to hit the stunts and comes in and practices her stunts often. But, recently, we switched backspots with another group, and now we can't seem to hit it. The backspot is super lazy and never really tries at anything we do. My other base and the flyer agree that she doesn't do anything.

I know most people are going to say well she should be able to hit the stunt without a backspot anyway, but she gets scared and honestly just doesn't do well with two-manning. We have tried countless times to try and get our backspot to work, but she blames it on us. I just don't know what to do at this point, should I just confront her? Or what?

I would talk to the coach and tell the coach what is going on. Then the coach could talk to her. That way you can avoid having any drama with the girl and that def wouldn't help improve your stunts. GOOD LUCK!

I agree with @Morgankay88 100%. No need to cause drama by telling the girl that she isn't as good as a backspot as the other. Why did your coach switch them in the first place? Since it was hitting before....

And coming from being a flyer- having a backspot change is SO different. All backspots have their quirks and some do more work than others. It just takes getting used too. But the most annoying thing is to have a lazy backspot that forces the bases to do the work. That never works out.

Exactly, I think that he switched backspots because the other group wasn't hitting their stunt and they needed a better backspot. But yeah, she is just lazy I guess. I'll just talk to my coach about it.
