no, the cartwheel makes it running tumbling

awesome just trying to get info to prove a point. a standing walkover or backwards roll is standing... dont know why they were fighting me on a cartwheel walkover and whatnot being considered standing.

They probably are thinking that since you dont have to take a step into a cartwheel, that its "standing" but any forward motion to begin tumbing (ie a cartwheel) is running...so u can tell em they're wrong! the fierceboard says so!

From USASF.net's Cheer Glossary:

Running Tumbling:
Tumbling that is performed with a running start and/or involves a step or a hurdle (etc,) used to gain momentum as an entry to another skill. Any type of forward momentum/movement prior to execution of the tumbling skill(s) is defined as "running tumbling."

Standing Tumbling:
A tumbling skill (series of skills) performed from a standing position without any previous forward momentum. Any number of steps backward prior to execution of tumbling skill(s) is defined as "standing tumbling."

The cartwheel is the forward momentum stated in the definitions, making the cartwheel back walkover a running pass, regardless if there were steps before the cartwheel or not.

@fullinitup - Now you have cold, hard, proof :)

you are the best! ugh i hate knowing im right and arguing about it for no reason. sometimes i do know what im talking about and if im wrong im never afraid to admit it!

So, does that make a cartwheel BHS in level 2 running tumbling? Or a cartwheel tuck in level 4? I always thought it was standing..

Me too. Its always been my understanding that a cartwheel tuck qualifies as standing tumbling, so wouldn't a cartwheel back walkover be the same thing? Maybe I've just been misunderstanding all these years!
