OT looking for college scholarships

so, i'm pretty much set on going to a private school and while my parents can afford to send me where ever i want, i would still like to help lower the costs if i can.(we don't receive any need based financial aid)

does anyone know of some great scholarships? i'd prefer to go through a private organization rather than getting a scholarship from the school. also, if anyone knows of scholarships where i could write an essay or other writing contests where i could win some money out of it that would great as i love to write!
