Cp requested I ask on here because she's been trying, but not succeeding.
so, she's been working her whip through to a full. she can do it through to a tuck and layout, but leaving the whip, she loses all her momentum so has to try to get it back through two bhs and after that, she just doesn't have the speed/power for the full.
A tiny part of it is a mental block because the first time she was going to do it without a spot, she bent her thumb nail back and it was super painful, as in blood, gore, drama...ha ha ha!
but anyways...her coaches tell her she needs to "push back the whip" and she knows this in her head, but can't seem to her body to do it.
last class, she went to do it without a spot and landed the full, but immediately collapsed (according to witnesses, i wasn't there). and after that it got progressively worse to the point they wouldn't let her throw it again without a spot.
any different words or suggestions other than "push back the whip?"
