Thanks for the compliment. And sorry you missed the Superbowl :)

The cover up campaign is in affect for ALL athletes, not just females. I made a few laps around the venue and, at the time, it seemed everyone was in compliance. In hindsight, though, it was earlier in the day--bef0re you arrived--and probably before many of the older athletes showed up.

NCA's position is that athletes need to be covered, just like the females. We tend to not make a big deal out of a single athlete walking around uncovered, but when there seems to be a trend, we usually remind the coaches of that program. I honestly didn't see that 'trend' this weekend though--only a few anomilies. And I definitely didn't see a shirtless male. I would have contacted the coach immediately.

Thanks for taking the time to post this.

I appreciate your reply to this........BUT both of my youth age kids made a comment about the boys taking their shirts off after they competed (the entire team was standing beside us to watch their competition) and not only that there were entire teams walking around the arena with no coverups......not walking to warmups, or waiting to meet their parents after competing. If its a rule, then enforce it, being as several from our teams were called out for not wearing their jackets. Personally, I think the rule is stupid. As a parent, it means I have to stand with my child from the time she meets her team mom, until they go to warmups OR expect my team mom to collect 36 jackets and hope that it doesn't get misplaced.

On the upside, It was a great event!!! Everything ran fairly close to times listed, stage and lighting were great and the overall atmosphere was exciting!! Can't wait for NCA Dallas :)

NCA's judging is the best in the biz..It's refreshing to see that the judges know the ranges for our routines as well as we do! Kudos to a great event!

Not actually replying to RockstarCheer but in response to the results...SE had 4.5 in deductions? How does that happen?! And there was not 100 threads about it?

The weighted scores were so close I can't wait to see these teams at Worlds...

There are a few comment's in the video thread.....lol.......but all nicely said and accurate. It wasn't our best day. We own it. We're working even harder. LOL (I was surprised too actually....)

LOL it wasn't of their better days. That said, a bad day for SE is a good day for most teams :)

Exactly. It's so funny when people pick apart SE's mistakes when most of the teams out there don't look that good on their best days.
