Need Help With An Assignment

I have an essay to write on anything I want and I picked two topics I would want it to be about. Obviously it'd be about cheer but I don't know how to go about it.

Topic one:
Why cheerleading is/should be a sport.

Topic two:
The dangers of cheerleading.

It would be greatly appreciated if you guys could help me out on this I want it to be the bomb dot com.
