No we need to backtrack to the age when people got banned... I remember growing up acts like this would never even make it on TV and my Grandparents & Parents generations were quick to censor anything and everything that went over and above the indecency radar. Unfortunately, these acts are the role models and representation our children are following, I will not allow any talentless b****es to sullied my daughter self-esteem and image of herself, it is already hard for our young women with getting some RESPECT (which Aretha Franklin sang so powerfully) out in this world...

All I ask is these talentless b*****es, and I hate to call another woman this word, but you earned the terminology - Put some clothes on and sing, if you can... That's All I am asking!
It's funny too, because there will be guys that will watch the video obsessively but the have the audacity to turn around and complain that female artists today have no class. Some of them will also trash a woman for not having a watermelon for a backside, a tiny waist and a huge chest, but then they will criticize her when she gets plastic surgery to get those features.

If you don't have it naturally, you shouldn't be praised for it. Simple as that.

Absolutely true - But it is the women that set the moral high bar and many of these women are setting the lowest bar and us responsible Parents are not censoring these disturbing performances and not forcing these performer to stop stooping to the lowest level of decency. Even Beyonce performance border on skankiness with all the dancers gyrating and dressing like strippers... Is this what we call entertainment now?

Showing outrage won't convince these people that sex isn't marketable in music. There is a separate industry for that. If consumers as a whole can convince the music industry that we don't want sexual content and drug endorsement in our music (hip hop could struggle with that) then they will come to the conclusion that inappropriate content is not marketable enough. The only people we have to blame are ourselves.

Playing Devil's advocate I'm on the older side of the 00's aged kids, I was born in the mid 90's. I grew up in the Britney Mania and Christina craze era. I saw the VMA's with the Kiss at age 7, I think. I saw the VMA's with Brit's nude sparkly outfit before then. My parents never censored me from music, or much of anything outside of things that kids should not see.

I did and still do love Britney and Xtina. I never watched their performances trying to understand why they were half dressed. I was fixated on them as entertainers and by their music. I was never a fan of Rihanna her songs to me are just outright sexual, she doesn't really sing, or dance. She's bleh. But girls eat her up. On the flip side with Xtina at an early age, I got an amazing voice and songs that inspired me. Britney's music is some of the first I've ever heard, she danced like something I'd never seen.

And Bey. Beyonce is a horse of an entirely different color.

This woman has made a huge impact on me in the last year, especially with this new album. It's about being free, and not having to play into societies expectations of women. She's always been inspirational but she's giving you more than sexual dance moves, more than sparkly outfits. I think she's a great role model, especially for me, who didn't grow up with to many popular artists that I looked like me.

Nicki's music is not for little kids. I don't think any parent should expect a grown woman, who has always had explicit music to be a role model for little kids. Really I don't think parents should expect any grown artist to tailor their careers for kids, when they are not kids themselves. It's unrealistic and unfair.

So I had to go to this online PE meeting today (I know, I know, but I'm 100% opposed to the concept of PE and don't want to be all sweaty at school. Every PE class runs at least a mile a day and I sweat a lot). They gave us all this equipment including a heart rate monitor that we have to use and upload the data from it. They said that in the past they used the honor system and people weren't actually doing it so they came up with a new way.... But the whole point of me taking this class was so I could use my practices as my workout, but I can't really wear the heart rate monitor and stunt bc part of it is a watch that will scratch people.... COOL.... This will be fine. It's not like I'm on a HS team, all star team, in 3 AP classes, and editor in chief of the yearbook or anything. I'll find time to do some extra workouts in addition to the 10+ hours a week I already do.
Not to mention during the fitness test I tried to talk to the coach about me doing push-ups bc I have screws in my elbows and it's super painful and he just walked away.... Like I hope you don't expect my push-up score to go up because it won't... I legitimately can't do them.

Online PE that's awesome.

If anybody has time to quickly say a prayer for my boyfriend, please do. He's going through a very tough time right now and was just diagnosed as bipolar, and we need all the prayers we can get. Thank you Fierceboard fam!

I told a friend she could stay at my house tonight because her pipes busted today or something. Today I've gone to school; taken an A&P test,; held a NHS meeting; drove around town selling yearbook ads; went grocery shopping; did 3 privates then stayed after to clean the bathroom at the gym; came home to find my cat had shredded almost an entire toilet paper roll on my bathroom floor; changed/washed/dried all the bedding in the house, ran 3 loads of clothes (because it's laundry day); made a (pretty legit) trifold board presentation for FBLA for "club rush" tomorrow; designed a flyer for the hip hop teacher at the gym (after having to pry the info for her registration out of her); and all I wanted was a hot bath... And she used all the hot water. Taking a 25 minute shower. I think this is why I don't have friends.

You have to take PE! I'm so glad we only have to take two years in HS. I never did much in either class. Freshman year my whole friend group was the class and our teacher adored us because we were really well behaved. Sophomore year the girls bball coach taught and the girls bball team made up the class, so every day we'd start class with warm up and activity and then open gym. Me and my friends just sat on the side on our phones. We also had a habit of 'skipping' but normally we'd dress out and do the warm up and earned an A for the year.

We have to take 1 credit of PE, what I'm doing now is half. I already took the other half in 9th grade. All our PE classes are pretty intense bc we have a block schedule, so it's 95 minutes every other day. There's women's body sculpting, strength training (which has like 99.9% guys), or team sports. The coaches are crazy. There's fitness walking too that I could've taken but walking in circles around the school for an hour and a half is boring. And when it's warm you have to do it outside which means id still end up all sweaty.
