OT New New Random Thread...

Absolutely losing my mind. I register for classes tomorrow. I am in my second year and can finally start taking classes for my major & minor after having to retake some gen-eds to become eligible.
I need an Experimental Procedures to Psyc class so I can take a lot of the classes I need to fulfill my psych major.
My school is offering one. ONE CLASS THAT IS REQUIRED FOR ALL PSYC MAJORS!! Only one. Why. And it is closed.
Anddd I just changed my minor to gender studies like last week and only one GS100 class is offered, which is also full, and the pre req to every GS class ever.

I'm just stresssssed out because I had a great plan that worked perfectly and now its all screwed up and my entire education is going to be put on delay which is just super cool

Idk if its different at your school, but I was in that position so many times and emailed the professor for those classes and explained the situation. They let me in the class every time, it wouldn't hurt to try!

There's a blizzard here and my powers been out for four hours. And our heat is run by electric so it's freezing. I had to go to a friends dorm room and now his car is stuck so I'm sure I'll have to be here all night. This stinks.

I've also always gotten in. Never had a professor tell me no - although on a couple occasions I didn't have a seat for the first few classes. Once people drop, it'll be fine - most professors know this, so they'll sign an override for a few people.

I am currently watching a show about americans with a swedish heritage or ancestry (spelling) and they get to go to sweden and explore their heritage. and i actually enjoy it since ive always liked knowing what other people know and think about my country. and as someone with people in my past that migrated to USA i would love for one of them to come over here. haven't happened yet but amnost every swede with a swedish background have someone in theyre family that have migrated. almost 1.3 million swedish people emmigrated to USA during the years of 1800 and 1920.

My grandma came to the US from Sweden and she goes back at least once a year; my family came here to visit last year for the first time too. My mom and I went to sweden a couple years back and it was absolutely phenomenal. I'm hoping to go back next summer :) The country is gorgeous!

Thank You! Yeah here is really beautiful. i might be biased but my part of the coubtry the southern part called Skåne is one of the most beautiful places ive ever seen. open fields and plains. not any mountains there are some hills just not very high ones.

I would love to see some of Europe. I have family in Norway who travel all around and the pictures are just absolutely amazing. Maybe one day after CP is done with cheer and both my kids are out of college I can make it.

Yeah you totally should. i went on a hiking trip in 2012 and went through a few countries on my way to brussels an europre really is beautiful. its not just sweden

My (most likely) last mock trial competition was last night. I've learned so much about public speaking and our judicial system through my four years with this program and I'm really going to miss it. My team won the verdict of the case, but I really doubt we will be advancing to the next round. We were pretty evenly matched with the other team, but we had one person violate a ton of rules with his testimony and I think it cost us. I'm bummed, but besides that one incident, our team did really well and I definitely ended on a strong note (:
