OT New Random Thread Pt. 3

Kay update. I've decided that I'm going to do the Air Force. Rob and I had a long talk about it and he said he would absolutely support me in anything that I wanted or needed to do. So that's a huge weight off me. My hair was literally coming out by the handful. I won't have to ditch our relationship and I get time away from the responsibilities I have, time to grow as a person, and time to get an education and all the military benefits.

I just can't help but think that God really knows what is best. We've been praying about the rent thing, and I think it's too convenient that this opportunity was presented to me to not be Gods will. This will over double my income as soon as I get to basic training and that's just the beginning.

I really appreciate everyone's input, and I know in my heart all of you are absolutely right. I'm just happy that Rob knows it too and is willing to stand with me through this!

Dis anyone else play Trivia Crack? It's one of the most fun games I've played ever

I just downloaded it and played a few times. I'm pretty sure I liked QuizUp a lot better. wtf is this "life" business? And too many ads, not enough categories! I loved being able to school my friends in Friends trivia, haha

I just downloaded it and played a few times. I'm pretty sure I liked QuizUp a lot better. wtf is this "life" business? And too many ads, not enough categories! I loved being able to school my friends in Friends trivia, haha

I never played QuizUp, so I wouldn't know about the categories, but the lives are the only thing I don't like about this game

So I just remembered something about work last night.

A woman came in with her husband and she was visibly pregnant. She was my bosses wife from my summer job on the coast. She sat at the bar and ordered a margarita. So we were side eyeing her pretty bad. We are known for our margaritas. They are really strong and large.

So whatever a pregnant woman is having a margarita. But then she orders THREE MORE. After her fourth one she was visibly drunk. Slurring her words, eyes hazy and droopy. She had to be cut off. Why the hell is a pregnant woman being cut off at a restaurant? She pounded them down like they were Hong out of style. I'm honestly disgusted.

This board needs to get rid of negative ratings. Nobody (for the most part) gives them on purpose, so someone then asks why someone gave them a negative rating and then that someone then apologizes and yadda yadda


They need to just go.


And about the above post. Clearly she's never met anyone with FAS. Her poor fetus.

Yup :( all the girls out back were saying they wish we could refuse but that'd not go over well.

YES. I can admit I did it once but then I decided never again.

I just go back and find a random post by that person and give them a negative rating and boom, we're even

Different state but my friend once posted on fbook that she saw a pregnant woman chain smoking outside of her doctors office

so my friend went back in and said something to the doctor and he doctor essentially said "she's (the pregnant woman) a grown woman and you need to mind your business"


My friend has a new doctor

Restaurants have the right to refuse service to anyone they want. They can't be sued for that. The bartender really has the right, because their liability is sky high for every person they serve. The certified MOD (not sure about Maine, but most states require an abc manager be on duty at all times that alcohol is served) can deny service to anyone they darn well choose to.

Most places opt not to because it's obviously not a good business practice to refuse to sell someone something, but the option is there.

Not sure how they would have worded it, and I'm sure she would have flipped and made a scene, but legally they're allowed to refuse service.

We refused to serve a woman once because her dog was in her car (she parked in front of the door where we could see him. It was about 100 degrees outside that day (Virginia Beach in August). Ridiculous.

ETA - she could still sue. Technically, anyone can sue for anything. I don't think she'd win. It's very hard to win a refusal of service lawsuit based on anything besides race or religion.
