I actually would rather the tons of snow the east gets than the snow (not as much as east coast) and cold we get. My ex is from Newfoundland and they get heaps of snow but it's colder here in the winter than it is there. It's quite common for ottawa to be the coldest capital city in the world. It's upsetting lol

This might be so stupid but honestly every single day I count down the days until my 18th birthday just so i can finally know what goes on in the 18+ area of fb. Like im more anticipated for that than for my actual birthday.. 14 days to go

First I stayed at Disney World for 6 days and then 5 days in another hotel in Orlando, I wish I could've visited another area without so much tourism though. My favorite part was most definitely how nice and friendly everyone was. I feel like everything is more easy-going in America, people are mostly in a good mood and if they're not they're not going to show it too much. Also every single person I've met had way more humor than the majority of people in Germany, when I was taken to the hospital the paramedic kept making jokes and funny comments to make me feel better, that's something I've never experienced in Germany, most people here are very serious and a bit uptight haha. Another thing I really liked about my trip was the feeling I got when I stepped out of the plane at Orlando International Airport. This may sound weird but I felt like I finally arrived at home and my whole stay long I didn't feel a tiny bit homesick which never happened before when I traveled without my family. They weren't my favorite thing but I also liked the bagels, we have them in Germany but the ones in America were better in my opinion :D

It's getting pretty ridiculous. I remember like 7 years ago I went to Montreal for March break and they had the biggest snow storm that year. Like you could barely see the stop signs and I was amazed. Now this year "Snova Scotia" is getting blanketed with 50cm every couple days. It's brutal.

Sorry about the dbl post.
I'm not sure which I'd rather. The highs for this week are 2-7 degrees, but snow banks are still over 5ft tall in some places. Last week I couldn't leave my house for 4 days. I'm supposed to have an outdoor rugby game in a week and a half but there are still a few feet of snow on the field. They were going to move the game inside the soccer dome, but that collapsed from too much snow.

Very exciting! So you mostly stayed in Florida? Florida is very nice, especially Disney and Orlando. Though, not all places in the US are as nice as Disney and Orlando, but definitely just as interesting. Hopefully you'll get to experience some other parts of the U.S. someday! And regarding the tourist areas - those are the most fun places to be IMO. So much to do and see! Most of the non-touristy places are boring, day to day places.
I get what you are saying about Germany though. My German teacher was exactly how you described Germans - very strict, no-nonsense, and reserved. Though the farther north you go in the US, the less friendly people seem to be. I think there's a strong correlation between amounts of snow and friendliness :P

I've been painting a cooler for my little's birthday for the past week or so and I'm SO ready to be done with it. I always get excited to paint coolers and then by the time I'm almost done with them I don't want to even look at it anymore.

So annoyed. I sit next to my friend in my design class and she is straight up copying my project. I can see her peaking at my screen to see what I'm doing and then trying to do it herself. I get that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery or whatever but come on.
