That same anon who is not really known for her polite attitude and is considered one of the more "shady" cheer twitters wrote a very graceful apology too. Hm. Not sure how I feel about that.

I didn't see the apology but I doubt it 100% sincere. IMO, The person behind the anon Twitter probably isn't sorry they said all the things. They're just sorry they might get caught and are trying to save themselves.

Maybe this is because I'm a little irritated right now, but I'm annoyed with almost all involved.

I didn't see the tweets about cea but I do know there are a lot about them. I don't think tweeting trash about ANY gym is okay. I don't think the anon accounts that are now continuing just excluding cea are okay. I don't think an adult giving out a minors number when it's getting obvious attention is okay. I don't think everyone else hyping it up and explaining the situation to other people and saying things like "get your popcorn!" is okay.

A cheer anon who had apologized and deleted a lot of tweets

I think the most puzzling comment was someone saying CSP and other owners should be professional and ignore the anon tweets. I am Guessing that means the anon tweeters are allowed to say or do anything they want without fear of repercussions. Makes total sense to me.

The anonymous are owned by children who make mistakes. Children voiced opinions, some of which were inflammatory and downright wrong.
But the adult, who should lead by example, exposed names and phone numbers, and ruined children's lives. People, including children, who look up to csp, will infer this behavior is ok--which it is not.
Look, I'm in the business of children. Every day I tell my students they have to make mistakes to learn and grow and I will support them in that process. I think many of you are forgetting the fact that they are kids- 13 years old. I think the adults in this situation should apologize and probably delete their social media accounts. Yes, I'm saying adults should lead by example

Look, I'm in the business of children. Every day I tell my students they have to make mistakes to learn and grow and I will support them in that process. No one's lives were ruined. We're they enbarrassed? Yeah. But ruined? That's a a stretch. None of them are being put on blast by millons of people world wide - it's mostly contained within the cheer community. Their futures aren't put in jeopardy. They will probably still get into college and land jobs. Tweeting a hurtful thing once is a "mistake". Continually tweeting hurtful and derogatory comments about a number of teams for over a year is NOT a "mistake".

Im tired of the "theyre kids" excuse. It perpetuates the brattyness and shows them there are no real consequences for their actions. Kids should be expected to make mistakes but they should also act like mature humans and be held to certain standards. The kids behind the anons should be held accountable for their actions.

CSP stepped up and put a complete end to it. That was the adult thing to do.

I mean, they also named kids and were on their way to ruin their lives so? Why wouldn't that be equally as bad? Those accounts were/are not only writing horrible stuff and making pictures to harm people. They also spread untrue rumour which could REALLY damage peoples lives. Yes they're kids, but if they get away with acting like this now, when will they ever learn? They need to be corrected! If a kid shoplift, they get called out, if they hit someone they get called out.. This is no different, it's illegal and should be punished. Do it once, maybe I can call it a mistake, do it repeatedly for a year, no, it's not a mistake, it's a choice.
