Its fake hair. I did some digging out of boredom. But i just dont get why coaches would allow one sole athlete to have such distracting hair like that.

Also noticed that a certain infamous cali athlete looks like they are back cheering and won at nca.....

No clue if I'm thinking of the same person or not. But if it's a he, I swore I saw him sitting in front of me at NCA at one point talking about how his team won. But I'm not super familiar with what he looks like so I thought I was just mistaking him for someone else. Maybe it was him after all.

Dear parents,

How many PROFESSIONAL PHOTO SHOOTS does your kid need?

Not even talking about cheer but life in general.

I have one kid. He gets school pics and we do Christmas family photos.

That's it.

A family we know from church has done the following with her kids in the past year or so:

Christmas photos.
Easter.
Dance photos.
Thanksgiving.
Valentine's Day
Cheer studio pics.
Dance pics again (in a field, different from the pics taken for studio pic day)
4th of July
Family portrait session
Anniversary photos.
Back to school photos.
Modeling pics for daughter (in scarf and vintage barn)

Maybe she is getting a discount from the photographer?

Or am I just lame and not keeping up with the number of times you're supposed to be photographed in life?

So many photoshoots, apparently. [emoji23] My kids get them VERY rarely. School pictures, senior pictures, and my cheerleader gets them annually because their offered at her gym. Honestly, I just can't afford more. Also...I'm pretty handy with a camera, so I could take shots myself. My kids aren't usually wanting to dress up and pose, though. ;)

For me this would be excessive. I sometimes think though that the people who do things like this are trying to overcompensate for all the things they themselves did not have growing up, so I try not to judge them too harshly. Or yes, maybe the photographer is a friend or relative and provides these services for minimal to no cost.

I prefer my own photos to formal ones, but there is something nice about having a professional picture done to commemorate a special occasion. I do feel that we are sadly cultivating a generation who truly believes the "Insta it (insert any social media) or it didn't really happen" mentality.

Apparently it's a posh pony. But aren't the ponys just a pony attachment? How is her hair brown and then she has it platinum blonde for comps.

and people wonder why the outside world thinks cheerleading is a joke... there is nothing cute about that hair, it looks gross.

I can't even do a proper blowout so part of me is impressed and the other part is wondering how the coach is okay with one of his athletes wearing the cheer version of a Carmen Miranda fruit hat
