I had a friend drive me into work because I couldn't drive myself, went and saw my manager and he thankfully noticed I was actually really sick and sent me home. And what would they say if you had vomited on a patron?

That's a relief. @Beans100 what did your boss have you do?I had a friend drive me into work because I couldn't drive myself, went and saw my manager and he thankfully noticed I was actually really sick and sent me home.

Wow. Maybe I'm naive for saying this, but I'd rather have a few stressful shifts than worry about somebody vomiting blood at work... and that's always a sign of some serious health issue. If something had happened to you, would they have been held liable?Well, considering I am one of the bosses, I had to stay and I sat in the back curled up with a bucket until my associates needed me on the line. At my fast-casual, we have about 10 associates, 3 trainers, 2 shift managers, 1 asst, manager and 1 general manager. I'm a shift manager and finding someone to cover a shift is almost impossible unless you give at least a weeks notice. Shifts are 10-11 hours long, so the opening manager never wants to stay to cover the closing managers stuff. Basically, my GM told me to take some meds, drink water and deal with it.
I'm jealous of your hardcore self[emoji14]I still consider MCR my favorite band and I never got to see them in person. And it is still disappointing. I told myself I'd never miss an opportunity to see something I love before it's too late again and I'm having the same argument in my head over Hamilton and seeing it with the original members.
That must have been a fantastic first show. My now 12 year old's first show was MCR and Blink. Mine was Duran Duran .
GO.
My favorite band of all time is Brand New (which I've def. mentioned on here haha) and they've never been to Maine, ever. They were performing in Providence when I was a freshman and I was too afraid to go to a show by myself, so I said I'd go to their show the next year on their next tour. They've done exactly one show in New England since 2009, and it was in 2014.
(Which is why I saw them twice in 2014 when they were near-ish by and once last year and I'll be seeing them three times this summer....in two states and two countries.) (I have a small problem.)
Brand New and Modest Mouse are coming to KC together this summer and naturally the tickets sold out SO FAST. I'm so bummed [emoji852]

That sucks.Hmm, not sure. My company has really great lawyers...
That sucks.
Im working in Canada right now and was so caught off guard when I saw that on tv the other night. I was initially thinking it might be to test the viewership in preparation for the new show about Great Whites? And to derail the musical/concert talk, when did they start airing the Smoed show on TV? The channel guide says the show is from 2016, but the footage shows them competing at the 2013 worlds...
