Yeah, I sat outside on the balcony of my sorority house until like 3am with my phone on mute just listening. Really, really interesting discussion.

There was a big (huge, actually) conference call with industry leaders, coaches and owners to discuss the sudden changes and how they were brought about. The number was released publicly so several hundred people called in to listen, while dozens gave input.

I believe it was primarily organized by Randy Dickey and Courtney Smith-Pope, and it laid the basis for what would eventually become ASGA.

Yup. "No exaggerated or theatrical movements."
Cue the 7000-signature petition, articles about gender stereotyping in all-star cheer being circulated from mainstream new sources (one of which included a comment from @Rudags) and a whole lotta outrage.

I'm sure he was on the call and he probably got involved in the early stages. Randy and Tate have a pretty long standing history (Tate cheered at South Carolina) and I'm sure he's close with CSP as well.

The rules they released that day were even more restrictive than what we got. (I think it was on purpose). Originally there was also no standing fulls, and I pretty sure doubles had to be preceded by a back handspring. No whips.

I think the best thing about days off from work is the ability to marathons Dance Moms to get caught up and foam roll for extended periods of time. I feel like a new person now. :D

Stepped in a puddle of what I thought was cat vomit this morning. Turns out the faucet in my kitchen has a crack in it, and the puddle was water. On the bright side, the cupboard under the sink has never been cleaner.

Also you didn't step in cat vomit so that's a good thing!
