All-Star New Uni's Every 3 Years. Do You Need Them?

Yeah! They're classic looking, but not outdated. I mean I'm not crazy about marroon, but I like the style a lot.

We have been getting new ones every two years as well. I personally love it. I get bored easily, and with the industry growing so much, the style does change. New uniforms are like new beginnings. Haha I just love it!

Same I liked the old ones so much better. But I remember that so many of the skirts were tiny and didn't cover much... they do look brown in the videos:confused:

I've usually found that the uni's fall apart because they are not washed properly not so much because they can't stand up to the performances. Even then it's more like the embellishments come off- I've never seen any real seam ripping or that kind of stuff.
We get new $325 uni's every 2 years from Varsity but in the past, our old uni's were used for our half year teams so that gave a chance for them to be reused.
Personally, I get my cp's old uni's framed for her. She loves seeing how she's grown and they bring back a lot of memories for her ;)

I dont think Rays or CEA has had their Unis for that long.
I think Brandon has had the same uni since like 2005/6. I would have an issue if i needed to buy the same exact uniform again. I'm sure there are people that have grown, or their uniform is just plain worn out.

haha brandon gets new uniforms every four years. we got new uniforms 07-08, and we are now getting new uniforms FINALLY this year.

Our gym changes uniforms every 3 years as well, so we will be getting new uniforms too! I think my daughter's uniform is adorable, however, we bought it from one of her cheer friends who outgrew it, and the sleeves were really too short on her by the end of the season (like 3/4 sleeves). There is no way it will fit her next season since it was really a bit too small by the last competition. But she is 8, so this age the kids have the unpredictable growth spurts. Since I have to get her a new uniform anyways, a new one is just fine with me. I hear they are going to be adorable. I have only heard them described, since I am overseas I have to wait to see pictures. Girls typically stop growing at age 16, so new uniforms are going to be a constant for the under 16 girls, regardless if they have to buy/exchange for the exact same uniform or a new uniform. I do see uniforms as part of the competition, just like you want new music and fresh choreography each season, you want new uniforms to add to the pizzaz as well. Every 3 years seems appropriate to me.

i think charlotte has changed their uniform maybe 3 times throughout their existence? someone can verify that. as far as new unis i'm all for it!

Charlotte is entering their 21st season, and I believe the new one they first wore at Worlds 2010 for Sr 5, and that the entire program wore last season, was the third one they have had since they began.
