Newbie And Collegiate Cheer

Hey! My name is Chris and I live in Columbia, SC. I have no experience in cheer, but I intend on trying out to be the mascot at the United States Air Force Academy this summer/fall. I spoke with the coach a good 2-3 weeks ago and she told me to try to look/participate in some cheer clinics in my area, but that went to no avail (meaning I have to hold off on the mascot plans, haha). :/ She said that during BCT (basic cadet training = this summer) that we have to sign up and pretty much they'll teach us everything, but I guess I want to know what it's like doing one-man lifts. If you can help, that'd be great!

I would go check out the ACX (American Cheer Xtreme) gym in Columbia! They're AMAZING, and I'm almost positive they can help you out! :)
