I'm picking songs for a routine and I always want to throw in a couple oldies/throwbacks but can never think of any when the time comes around. Any suggestions or things you've heard you liked?

Miami Vice Theme song.

The Fierce Board: aka Cheernado!

Sau Say Say by HRH King MJ and Paul McCartney

Lambada by Kaoma

Funkete by El General

You Won't Forget Me by LaBouche

Show Me Love by Robin S

Return of the Mack by Mark Morrison

Super Freak by Rick James

Human Nature by HRH King MJ

Hat 2 Da Back by TLC

Now That We Found Love by Heavy D

Today Was a Good Day by Ice Cube

Nuthin' But A G Thang by Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre

Rhythm of the Night by Corona

What Is Love by Haddaway

any Bob Marley song (I Shot the Sheriff and Trenchtown Rock are good songs to use)

Murder She Wrote by Chaka Demus and the Pliers

Atlantis by Azealia Banks (the lyrics aren't exactly family-friendly, but the song could definitely be torn up and remixed very well)

The Zoo by Mr. De

See the Light by Calvin Harris and the Hours (not an oldie, but it's too good not to mention)

Also try video game tracks.

You could take the legal route and mix your own tracks to use in cheer music. Use the songs listed above for inspiration.

I'm using "Vouge" by Madonna in my music!

I've heard a couple teams use these songs and you could tell it lifted the crowd's spirit when hearing these throwbacks:
  1. "Good Vibrations" by Marky Mark
  2. "I'm Gonna Get You" by Bizarre Inc ft. Angie Brown
  3. "Poison" by Bell Biv Davoe
