Stop complaining before they make full tops mandatory for everyone! Seriously..... It's a uniform... they can go back to old school w/ turtlenecks and all would you rather that?!
All they are trying to do is keep the "sport" athletic and not a fashion show. There is not a thing wrong w/ being clothed... and while I know some uniforms and crop tops are appropraite and some programs respect the age level of thier participants some push the envelope... I liked the comment be a bikini model.... HA
Really, at the end of the day if your child is getting the instruction they need, going to the competitions you want, in a program where it is a healthy environment and a good fit for you, does it really matter if the girls wear crop tops or not?! Just seems silly.
or sparkly spankies for that matter...that just draws too much attention to private parts and I think that's inappropriate.
my sarcastic point is equally validMy sarcasm of the above already stated comment - bikini model. I was KIDDING!!! I just thought whoever said it earlier in the post had a point! If you are gung ho on crop tops, be a bikini model!
I said this in the big thread but this isn't about what an individual can wear - so yes, a 10 year old on a senior team can wear a crop top while a 14 year old on a junior team can't. This is about what an entire junior or youth team of mostly 10 year olds wearing crop tops looks like versus a senior team as a whole.
This is obviously so that Varsity can sell more uniforms. I say all gyms stick it to them and refuse to order any unis from them. Make do with what you have and throw a black bodysuit under existing crops to make them 'full top.'
That is fine that you feel the issue is what an entire team of jr or youth wearing crops looks like vs a senior team...I personally think the crops look better on the younger kids. So my rule would be crops for little kids, full tops for older.
If you are looking for modesty then join a gym with full tops or join a choir and wear a robe....;)
