Hi, My CP has been experiencing pain on her right side, but its not the hip. Its really right where the the abdomen curves into her waist.

Her old team flew on the wrong side, but now she is trying to learn/stretch to stand on her right and pull a scorpion with her left.

Anyone know what this could be or how we could help it? Is the learning a new flying side the cause or coincidence?

Thanks for any help.

A doctor will be able to diagnose her better than fierceboarders but maybe she pulled a muscle. Or has a hernia? Idk. Stretching is a painful process.

I would definitely ask a doctor over the fierceboard on this one!! If the pain has appeared since stretching it probably is nothing too serious.. but the fact that it is the right side of the abdomen makes me nervous.

I'm not a doctor (although as a coach I am often mistaken for one--idk why, I don't wear a white jacket, scrubs or a stethoscope) so I try not to give a diagnoses to anything besides "yes the bone is broken bc I heard a snap and now the arm is bent into a Z formation". Other than that, my x-ray vision is non existent and I have to just guess.

lol me either. though i did take a diagnostics class last semester.. and basically diagnosed myself with every disease, ever. (terrible class for a hypochondriac.)

if the pain started directly from the stretching, more than likely the stretching caused it. However, the right side has the gallbladder (upper right abdomen) and the appendix (lower right abdomen). I am by no means trying to scare this poor mother, I would just take extra precaution with the right side and call a doctor. :)

See I wouldn't know any of that stuff! I can't do it!

I think if she was having an appendicitis then she'd be screaming in pain and doubled over, vomitting, and have a fever. It might just be her muscles getting used to the change of stetching! Go to the doctor to be sure though! :)

Thanks everyone. I actually work in an Emergency room and she has been checked for Internal issues, such as the Appy or gallblader. I am taking her to see her pcp on Monday, but almost feel that a physical therapist might be her best bet. Just wondered if anyone else had experienced a pain in that spot while stretching out a new area.

I was gonna be the crazy one asking if she was puking because my bro had appendicitis at 3..and it was the first thing I thought of lol

Strain in a muscle there is entirely a possibility if she hasn't been stretching both sides equally..like one should. I'd take her to get it checked out still, but no internal damage really just seems to leave pulled muscle, doesn't it?

Hi, I am on a mission to get a straight leg scorp on my left side and so have been stretching my back alot because I didnt even have a scorp on my left leg. Well I have been experiencing a similar pain on my right side and its from all of the stretching. My doctors gave me muscle relaxers and that with the combination of a foam roller have made a world of difference in my pain level. I would def see a physical therapist if the pain persists.
